Sociable interaction: the task by which persons act and react in relation to others. Status: a social position a person keeps

Status set: all of the statuses that person holds at any given time Ascribed status: a social placement that somebody receives at birth or presumes involuntarily later on in life. Achieved status: a social position that someone takes on voluntarily and that reflects personal ability and effort Master status: a status which has exceptional importance for cultural identity, generally shaping someone's entire life Position: behaviour anticipated of someone who have holds some status Position set: many set of tasks attached to an individual status

Role Conflict: issue among the tasks connected to two or more statuses Position Strain: stress among the functions connected to just one status Social construction of reality: the procedure by which persons creatively form reality through social interaction Thomas Theorem: situations all of us define as real become real inside their consequences Ethnomethodology: the study of the way in which people seem sensible of their everyday surroundings Dramaturgical Analysis: the study of social conversation in terms of theatrical performance Demonstration of personal: a person's initiatives to create certain impressions in the minds of others Non-verbal communication: communication using physique movements, actions, and cosmetic expressions instead of speech. Personal Space: the nearby area over which a person makes some claim to privateness

Every person has many statuses at once, for example a teenage young lady is not only a daughter to her parents yet also a sibling, a student, and a goalie on her hockey team. These kinds of statuses can transform gradually as time passes, for example as this girl gets older she will become a wife, a graduate, an attorney and a mother or father.
